I was born and raised in a small country town in the southeast corner of New Hampshire.  My mother and father did their best to work a total of 4 jobs to keep a modest middle-class home to raise their single child.  As a child I played with nature, preformed magic tricks for neighbors, chased squirrels, attended public school, and road my bike with neighborhood friends.

At a young age I began looking for additional ways to earn extra income to help the family.  My first business was at the age of 7.  I started Small Kicks Inc a backyard Karate studio for neighborhood kids.  For only $3.00/wk a student would practice and train in my parent’s backyard.  I taught my pupils the exact lessons I had learned the week prior in my official Karate school.  All the kids loved it and awards were given to the top achievers.

High school was awkward to say the least.  I struggled in school and fell behind others in my class.  I coasted through without ever having a burning desire to “BE” anything.  I felt as if there was something wrong with me for not wanting to commit to one career for the next 60 years.  In fact, at the time, this thought scared the crap out of me!

After high school I packed my bags and headed to sunny Florida to seek my fortune.

Six months after arriving I enrolled in a local community college and had changed my major 4 times before taking time off due to boredom.  I hopped around from one remedial job to another dreaming of MORE… more time, more money, more respect, more self-confidence, more self-worth, more ability to give.

Turns out I was a horrible Employee.  I knew deep inside myself I had so much potential and was capable of much much more than I was currently achieving. I just had NO DIRECTION.

My roommate at the time let be borrow an out-dated Ron LeGrand real estate investing seminar 3-ring binder he had in his bookcase, How to Buy and Hold Real Estate was the title.  Have you ever been so excited about something as an adult that it completely changed your life forever?  I fell in LOVE with the easy-to-understand verbiage Ron uses and the immediate profit potential when deal with six-figure properties. I remember thinking, “I’m going to dominate my local real estate competition.”

Over the next three months I joined three real estate invest clubs, read 22 courses on investing in real estate, and made over 261 offers on different traditional homes without a single offer being accepted by the seller. Why did I suck at real estate investing? After-all I was advertising using the same time-tested marketing methods as every other investor in my area and every course I read. At this point I was frustrated and pissed-off I wasn’t making money with my hardest efforts.  I had failed…

It was three months later, the 1st week of April 2002 that I finally created and closed my first BREAK-THROUGH real estate deal.  The seller was standing in front of a standing-room at my local investors club. Luis, the seller, needed to quickly sell his manufactured home with over 2 acres.  He only owed $57,000 to a 1st mortgage and the home was recently appraised for $96,000.  As he talked about his home for sale I looked around the room at NOBODY writing down his contact information.  I bought and sold Luis’s home in less than 4 weeks for an immediate $35,000 profit.  The very best part was I did not have to qualify for a bank loan or use my own cash to close.  I was using creative real-estate investing techniques modified to conform to manufactured housing and alike.

As I began studying real estate and building my “portfolio” of cash-flowing mobile home properties I worked two jobs – cell phone salesman and night-time valet.  By the end of 2002 I was able to began investing in real estate full-time.  I quit both my jobs and dedicated my passion to become the best mobile home investor my market had ever seen.

I finally found what I wanted (what we all want); the freedom, the time, the money, the self-respect and validation it takes to make it as far as I had come.  **This journey will also be yours.**

I give thanks every day for finding Luis.  His unwanted mobile home was the KICK-IN-THE-PANTS my life and my career needed.  Since the start of investing in mobile homes for their cash-flow and income I have been free to travel the globe, doing the things I set for myself.  This is the life most Americans are struggling to achieve.
